TF2 - Tribalman's Shivby ~Twist3dShadows

Artisan Crafts / Costumery / Props & Accessories

Made a Tribalman's Shiv for my friend ~Erilire
Materials used:
- Pink Insulation Foam (1 inch)
- Brown Paint (light and dark brown for a nice texture effect)
- Gorilla Glue
- 4 flat tacks

It's really simple to make and very lightweight.

very nice tribalman's shiv I was planning on making one out of insulation foam as well but as I was talking with my father he goes out to his shop and pulls out two feet of 1/3 inch mahogany wood and another thicker chunk of wood that I don't know what type it is that I will have to paint. Anyways we are designing it so that the thicker wood is cut and attatched to the area where the handle will be on the mahogany and set up like a real knife.

P.S. what was the length of this prop just out of curiosity. ty

I wish I could make one out of wood but I don't have the skills or resources. Post pics when it's done!

The shiv is about 16 inches long.

yep planning on posting a few soon it has a few parts that need to be sanded and the handle needs to be glued together and have the skrews put in but it looks really nice so far.

ok my shiv is about 3 feet long

I think that is about the same length as it is in game.

I love the Tribalman's shiv, I only really started using it recently since I got my strange one but now I see how effective Jarate then Shiv for Crit-Bleed damage can be ^_^ (although the Bushwacka is just as good at being paired with Jarate, I just think the Bleed effect is really cool x3 same reason I use the Strange Southern Hospitality even though it only counts melee kills, not sentry kills ^_^)

This is a really nice prop too, I might try my hand at making one ^_^ I'm tempted to actually buy some dark red wood (like Mahogany or whatever it's made of in the game) and make it truly authentic, but that might be expensive x3
